Here at the Students’ Union, we’re completely student-led. Everything we do, every change that gets made, happens because of you. And Union Council is where the magic happens.

Tonight – Take a first look at the ideas for the new SUSU brand

Union Council is the highest decision-making body of the Union – and the next one is tonight at 6pm in the Senate Room, Building 37. Anyone can come along, so why not come and see for yourself what your Union is up to right now, including taking a first look at the ideas for the new SUSU brand.

As you may know, we are currently undergoing a rebrand and we have hired Holdens’ Agency to help with the process, which has been based on the feedback students and staff gave at the branding workshops and surveys since Christmas. Holdens’ have now come up with their initial ideas for the new brand, which will be presented at Union Council tonight. Don’t miss it!

You can take a look at the Agenda ahead of tonight’s meeting here.

How does Union Council work?

This is where your ideas and suggestions go to be discussed and voted on by Union Councillors, students elected by you every year. Anyone can submit an idea or a policy – and it couldn’t be easier. Simply go to You Make Change and send us your thoughts. These are then put to Union Council, where a decision gets made. You can even go along to tell Council why you think your idea is important.
